Sexual
Assault and Risk Awareness for
College Students
“Sexual
Assault Awareness and Risk Reduction for College Students” is a
co-educational program created by R.E.S.P.E.C.T. to facilitate discussion
among co-eds about issues pertinent to sexual assault. After defining
sexual assault, the group discusses myths and realities of sexual violence
and the underlying "rape culture" that we
live in. Stereotypes are challenged as myths are debunked. Risk reduction
strategies for the everyday and social lives of college students are
examined and detailed. Campus and community resources are provided as
discussion comes to a close.
