Confidential Help After Rape
Sexual assault is a traumatic experience. Often individuals do not know where to turn for help. The Campus Sexual and Relationship Violence Center (SRVC) serves as a place to talk about options and learn of resources after sexual assault at a convenient and trauma informed on campus space. SRVC victim advocacy services are confidential. Whatever options are selected by an individual will be respected.
If one needs to speak with someone about sexual assault in a confidential setting, a SRVC advocate is very willing to help individuals understand all of the resources available for care and reporting options if one chooses to report.
Some common considerations after sexual assault are:
- personal safety – if you do not feel safe, please call 911
- medical care and/or forensic examination
- reporting rape
- personal care
- how to help a friend
To schedule an appointment to talk with a SRVC advocate, call 479-575-4000 or email survivor@uark.edu
SRVC hours are Monday – Friday, 8am-5pm
After hours reporting is available.
